Ruth Fraser - voice, harp

Ruth Fraser has just graduated from Trinity College of Music (TCM) where she studied Historical Performance with Timothy Travers-Brown and Philip Thorby. Ruth performed the role of Venus in Blow's Venus and Adonis at the 2007 Greenwich International Early Music Festival (GIEMF) and has returned to perform each consecutive year. While at TCM she worked closely with Alison Crum on music for Voice and Viol, and with Frances Kelly and David Miller exploring early English and Italian vocal repertoire accompanied by Harp and Lute.

Ruth has been dancing since the age of 2 and has studied many disciplines to advanced level including ISTD Tap, Imperial Ballet, Classical Greek and Modern and other styles such as Irish, Flamenco, Salsa and Early Dance. She has competed in scores of competitions such as the Grandison Clark, Ruby Ginner and All England Dance, regularly reaching the finals with numerous wins. She was honoured to be the recipient of a TCM bursary allowing her to study historical dance and was invited along with 4 other students to represent TCM in a showcase at the Royal Festival Hall.
